1. Acceptance

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About Titan Password Vault

Titan Password Vault is an offline-first password manager. Your encrypted vault resides on your device; we do not run a cloud service and we cannot access your vault.

Critical: We cannot recover your master password. If you lose it, your data will be irretrievable.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Choosing and safeguarding a strong master password
  • Maintaining the security of your device (including OS updates, avoiding malware, not jailbreaking/rooting)
  • Managing backups/exported files securely and verifying their integrity
  • Complying with applicable laws when storing credentials

You must not use the App to store illegal content or to infringe others’ rights.

4. No Cloud; Backups Are Your Responsibility

The App does not include cloud sync. Export/import creates encrypted backups under your control. You are solely responsible for creating, safeguarding, and testing backups.

5. Third-Party Services

If you opt in, the App may send diagnostic crash data to Firebase Crashlytics to help improve stability. Your use of the App also relies on platform services (e.g., biometric APIs, secure storage). We are not responsible for third-party services or outages.

6. Updates and Changes

We may release updates or modify the App at any time, including for security or functionality. The App may require the latest OS or store policies to continue functioning. We may modify these Terms; if we do, we will update the “Effective date” and, where required, provide notice.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or related infrastructure
  • Attempt to defeat security measures or access others’ data
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with us

Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted by open-source licenses for the source code itself.

9. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, names, logos, and content included with the App (excluding your own data and open-source components under their licenses) are our property or our licensors’ and protected by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Security measures (e.g., Argon2id, AES-256-GCM, secure storage, screenshot blocking) reduce risk but cannot eliminate it, especially on compromised devices.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF USD 50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the above limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, liability, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases; your on-device data remains under your control.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in [City, Jurisdiction] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

(Optional) If you prefer arbitration or mediation, add: Disputes will be resolved through [arbitration/mediation provider] in [city] under [rules]; you and we waive class actions to the extent permitted by law.

15. Apple App Store Terms (iOS Addendum)

If you downloaded via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge:

  • These Terms are between you and Guru Devs intelligence, not Apple.
  • We (not Apple) are responsible for the App and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support.
  • To the maximum extent allowed, Apple disclaims warranties.
  • Apple is not responsible for claims related to the App or your use.
  • In the event of third-party IP claims, we (not Apple) are responsible.
  • You must use the App in compliance with the App Store Terms of Service and applicable laws.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Addendum and may enforce it.
